Optimized processes
At the company headquarters in Bischofsheim i. d. Rhön, around 150 skilled workers and specialists develop, design, manufacture and assemble special machines as well as workpiece and tool handling systems. In contract manufacturing, we produce machine components for our own needs and on behalf of customers. The IBS division has been supplying roadheaders for mining and tunnelling since 1995. Our know-how in the field of electrics & controls focuses on automation for process optimization.
Full-Service
All four service areas of MSB Schmittwerke are closely interlinked. As a customer, you benefit from full service from a single source. Project handling is carried out in-house in Bischofsheim i. d. Rhön to save time. From individual consulting and planning to development and construction. For assembly, commissioning and maintenance/repair on site, our specialists are global deployed.

MSB Schmittwerke was founded in 1900 by Jakob Schmitt in Bischofsheim/Rhön as a workshop for agricultural machinery. In three generations, the company developed into an internationally active mechanical engineering company today.
